Ratzo Harris Quartet
Bassist Ratzo B. Harris has recorded with Mose Allison, Denny Zeitlin, Kenny Werner, Tom Rainey, Joe Lovano, Mark Feldman,
Eric Friedlander, Connie Crothers, Gary Bartz, Randy Brecker, Vincent Herring, David Darling, Paul McCandless, Jane Ira Bloom, John Scofield, and Paul Motian,
and performed frequently with Joe Henderson, Cal Tjader, John Handy, Charles Lloyd, Jon Hendricks, Ted Curson, Tim Berne, Betty Carter, Helen Merrill,
Les Paul, Joanne Brackeen, and Jim Pepper.
He has also been active as an educator,
and has taught at Purdue University, Indiana University, University of Massachusetts, Berklee College, New England Conservatory, Rotterdam Conservatory,
University of Ludwigsburg, the Music High Schools of Wurztburg and Cologne, the New School for Social Research, the Manhattan School of Music
and New York University.
He has appeared here on three occasions with the Roberta Piket Trio with Billy Mintz, and
twice with his own trios.
Trombonist Wayne Wallace is a veteran Bay Area performer, composer, educator and band leader.
He has released seven recordings with his own bands. As a sideman, he has recorded with
Tito Puente, Pete Escovedo, Aretha Franklin, John Santos, Conjunto Cespedes,
Boz Scaggs, Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Steve Winwood and many others.
As a composer he has worked extensively in film and live theater.
He has taught at San Francisco State University,
The Jazzschool, Stanford University and UC Berkeley.
Trumpeter Dave Bendigkeit
has worked with Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, George Shearing, Jack Jones, Ray Brown,
Shelly Manne, Richie Cole, Grady Tate, Smith Dobson, James Brown, B.B. King,
The Temptations, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Bernadette Peters,
Rosemary Clooney, Shirley MacLaine, Joel Grey, Anthony Newley, Lou Rawls,
The Mills Brother, Johnny Mathis, the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, San Jose Symphony,
Englebert Humperdink, The OJays, The Platters, The Lettermen, and The Four Freshmen,
among many others.
He has also released four albums as a leader.
Pianist David Udolf has
played with Terri Bryant of the Fifth Dimension, saxophonist
Herb Geller, R&B legend Bo Diddley, and toured internationally with singer Mary Stallings.
